At the young age of 10, TyShawn’s older brother Brian Jones and the vibrant skate culture of New York inspired him to begin skateboarding. His natural talent was quickly identified and he soon rose to become a star in the skateboarding scene. In 2014, when TyShawn was 14, Supreme featured him in their clip “Cherry”, in which he ollie flipped into the New York Court House and made his mark. At 16, TyShawn signed with the large skateboarding industry name, Supreme, and became a professional skateboarder three years later.

Tyshawn Jones has achieved incredible success in the past five years, from landing killer Adidas deals to winning Thrasher’s Skateboarder of the Year for 2018 and 2020. Despite being too young to buy a beer, Jones also opened his own restaurant called Taste So Good! (Make You Wanna Smack Your Mama) in the Bronx to give back to his community.
