Malaysia is located in south eastern Asia, incorporating the peninsula and northern one-third of the island of Borneo, and bordering Indonesia and the South China Sea, south of Vietnam.
The main economic activities of Malaysia include light manufacturing, electronics, tin mining and smelting, logging and processing timber; petroleum production and refining.
There are 870 Chartered Surveyors in Malaysia. Approximately 75% specialise in Quantity Surveying, with 16% general practice and 8% in Geomatics.
