Welcome to the RICS website section for South Korea.

South Korea is located at the southern half of Korean Peninsula which is in between Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea.  Its capital city is Seoul, the second largest metropolitan city in the world.  Its population has reached nearly 49 million with over 81% of its population staying at the urban area.

Since 1960, South Korea has developed itself into the developed country and become the world’s second fastest growing economy.   To the world’s fascination, South Korea reaches the same par with its GDP growth among countries like Czech Republic and New Zealand.  The consistent drive by the government who promotes import of raw materials and technology at the expense of consumer goods with good encouragement of savings and investments has put the country into a positive drive economy during the past decade.

Our largest membership comes from Valuation totalling to 88% while the rest comes from Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, and Project Management.
