RICS membership is only awarded to individuals who meet and maintain the most rigorous standards to the public advantage.  The provision of robust technical practice standards is a major thrust of RICS activity.  Our Practice Standards inform the technical excellence of RICS members and set RICS surveyors apart from other professionals.

Through the Professional Groups structure, and the expertise of specially convened panels of member experts, RICS produces a broad programme of practice standards, guidance and information for members.
